Communist Movement.
In 1990, the Scientific Socialism specialty
was entitled to grant doctor degrees
and was renamed as Scientific Socialism
and International Communist Movement
in 1997. The areas of research include Scientific Socialism and the
Cause of
building Socialism with Chinese Characteristics,
Theory and Movement History of
Socialism & Communism, Contemporary World and Socialism &
Communism.
In 1994, the specialty was approved
to be a provincial keystone subject. Since
then, named as “Scientific Socialism
and Social Development᾿ it was listed as a
keystone subject of the national ᾿11᾿project in 1997.
